Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The RN-BS program is designed for registered nurses who wish to obtain their bachelor’s degree in nursing. Classes are offered through a combination of online and in-class participation. Students meet in class every other Tuesday during the Fall and Spring, and every Tuesday during the Summer sessions, at the University Center of Greenville. The weeks that students do not attend class in person, they will complete work online using Blackboard.

Students are admitted to the program in both the fall and spring semesters of each year.

Admission Requirements:

Current South Carolina Registered Nurse (must hold active license without restrictions).
Graduate of a nationally accredited registered nursing program.
Cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.75 on all attempted college courses.

Required prerequisite courses for entry into the RN-BS Program:

Prerequisite courses must be completed prior to entering the RN-BS curriculum.

Steps to Admission and Enrollment in the RN-BS Program:

Set up an appointment with Clemson University RN-BS Student Services Program Coordinator, Ms. Hillarie L. Brown, at the University Center. Once admissions requirements are met you may submit an online application to Clemson University.
The fall admission deadline is May 15th, and the spring admission deadline is October 15th.

Upon Entering The Program

You will receive 31 semester hours of credit upon completing Nursing 406, Issues in Professionalism, with a B or higher. This course validates your previous nursing knowledge from your Associate Degree Program.
You will be required to successfully complete 31-34 semester hours of Clemson University nursing and related courses at the University Center of Greenville.
RN-BS curriculum can be complete in 12 months.

RN-BS Program is Web-Enhanced
