Clemson University is the only major institution in the state of South Carolina to teach American Sign Language (ASL) for credit in the Department of Languages. The educational objectives of the ASL program:
- Undergraduates completing two semesters through 202 should be able to demonstrate:
- Advanced proficiency in receptive, expressive and conversational ASL
- Advanced knowledge about Deaf Literature
- Advanced knowledge about Deaf Culture and History
